Part of exporters' expenses abroad will be compensated

A meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers was held as part of the state program for the implementation of the strategy of action in the priority areas of the Republic of Uzbekistan, approved by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in 2017-2021. Export and its development in the economy of our country is important because Uzbekistan has a large export potential. Taking this into account, on March 30, 2021 the Cabinet of Ministers adopted Decree No. 167 "On measures to further expand financial support for exports in the Republic of Uzbekistan". Now, exporters' expenses related to opening and maintaining trading houses, rent of office, trade and warehouse premises, as well as organization of advertising campaigns abroad will be partially reimbursed by subsidies. These subsidies will be allocated from the state budget to the Export Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Export Promotion Agency will provide assistance and support: will reimburse 50% of the foreign expenses of local export enterprises, which are associated with the opening and maintenance of trading houses, rental of office, trade and warehouse premises, as well as the organization of advertising campaigns. This includes: registration fees; rental costs for office, commercial and warehouse premises; connection to power supply sources, payment for electricity and utilities; organization of advertising campaigns; Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Investment and Foreign Economic Relations - Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Umurzakov S.U. will oversee the implementation of the decision. On March 30, 2021, the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers was published in the state language in the National legislative database and entered into force.
